The course provides students with an opportunity to explore the relationship between marketing and the tourism industry. It emphasizes the collaborative efforts that exist between airlines, hotels, restaurants, and travel agents. Topics include research analysis, strategies, market segmentation, product development, packaging, services, sales, advertising, distribution, mix, etc. students work as part of a team to develop a marketing plan for a destination that follows the hospitality and travel marketing system model and includes advertising and collateral support materials.
