This course provides the student with a basic knowledge of travel and its various purposes: business; educational; cultural; therapeutic; recreational; and family activities. The factors affecting demand and supply are studied in detail. The course concludes with the major elements of tourism: foundations of transportation/accommodations; business; and special activities that lure people to travel. Prerequisite: MKT 201. 3 credits.
