A laboratory course that introduces the student to the equipment, proper technique for its utilization and the examination protocols utilized in the noninvasive vascular laboratory in assessing the extra cranial cerebrovascular, peripheral arterial and peripheral venous vascular systems. The student will demonstrate at least novice, entry level abilities in the laboratory performance of continuous wave Doppler, plethysmographic and pressure acquisition techniques as well as ultrasound imaging techniques, e.g. B-mode imaging, color Doppler flow imaging and pulsed wave spectral Doppler.
