This course provides an in-depth exploration of human cognition, focusing on both classic and current issues. Students will evaluate experimental research designed to test models and theories of learning and cognitive processes and will explore both behavioral and neuropsychological approaches to data and theory. Topics will include attention, categorization, imagery, language, thinking, problem solving, decision making, multiple memory systems, encoding and retrieval processes, and the role of knowledge. Prerequisite: PSY 100
