This course will present an overview of basic concepts of the development and the structure of the American legal system, and applications of the law for the individual and family for lifelong decision-making. Topics include: U.S. Constitution, the judicial system crimes, torts, enforceable agreements, problems associated with family relationships, home and vehicle ownership, evaluation of insurance coverage, employment relationships, estate planning and dispute resolution.
