This course will study the psychological and social implications of male and female gender roles throughout the life cycle. Issues explored will include the relationship between gender roles and biology, the family and society; the psychology of gender identity and its development; gender roles at work; and gender role stereotyping. Readings and discussion will focus on both men's and women's issues.
