This course combines an understanding of women's struggles with violence and fear with a full range of selfdefense options. Students will learn how to project a strong and alert appearance, assess potentially dangerous situations, diffuse uncomfortable situations, and develop powerful fighting techniques. Care is taken to provide a safe and supportive environment in which sensitive issues can be discussed and the fears and concerns of students can be addressed so that students feel empowered.
