Through a wide range of projects, the student-illustrator will encounter the concerns of the professional illustrator in the creation of effective images. Emphasis is placed on developing a working understanding of the role of the illustrator/artist in the creation of graphic communication and on developing a working understanding of the interdependent nature of the relationship between the image drawn and the techniques used to reproduce it graphically. Prerequisite: AR 221 or with permission.
