This course is essential to students pursuing a career in Horse and Riding Instruction. The Conditioning and Advanced Training class would be a more in depth continuation of EQS 311 Training Horses. This course will help students fulfill their desire to learn more about conditioning and training horses for competition. The purpose of this course is to better prepare the graduate for a career with competition show horses. Through this in depth look at conditioning and training, students who are considering a career in the world of horse training will be better able to serve the needs of their employers and clients. Furthermore, those students wishing to be riding instructors will have a better understanding of how to help their pupils achieve maximum performance from their horses. This class would be offered as an elective for students who wish to enter the fields of training or riding instruction. Prerequisites: EQS 311 or consent of instructor.
