This is an introductory course to the multidisciplinary study of the structure and function of the environment. Topics include ecosystems, energy cycles, food chains, nutrient cycles, global climate patterns and the effects of pollution and other human activities on these systems. Prerequisites: BIO 103, BIO 104, BIO 105, BIO 106 CHEM 170 and CHEM 171; Co-requisites: CHEM 175 and CHEM 176. Also listed as BIO 308. Designated professional studies.
