Basic concepts concerning the interrelationships of organisms and their environments are taught in this course. Topics: adaptations of plants and animals to their environments; animal behavior; predator-prey behaviors; population and community structure, function, and dynamics; food webs; energy and nutrient flow. Some field trips are required. Three hours of lecture, lab or field work per week. Prerequisite: eight hours of biological science. Also listed as ENV 312. Designated professional studies.
