2 hours Anatomy and physiology is designed to introduce the student to the science of the body structure and function. Content is presented in a simple to complex pattern which includes the design and function of cells, body systems, and the interdependence of systems. (Fall) The following courses (225-255) will include a study of rules, strategies, and techniques with an emphasis on the various methods and approaches to coaching. Prerequisite: basic knowledge of the sport to be studied. PE 225 Theory of Coaching Volleyball (Fall, even) 2 hours PE 235 Theory of Coaching Basketball (Fall, odd) 2 hours PE 240 Officiating 2 hours PE 245 Theory of Coaching Football (Fall, even) 2 hours PE 255 Theory of Coaching Track and Field (Spring, even) 2 hours Includes but not limited to football, basketball, and volleyball.
