3 hours This studio course is an introduction to the techniques, materials, and aesthetics of jewelry and small metal sclpture design and fabrication. Students will design and fabricate jewelry and small sculpture untilizing stones and metals such as silver, copper, and brass. Basic metalsmith techniques will be covered such as silver solder, brazing, casting, etching, repousse, and a variety of other assemblage methods. (Fall )
