3-4 hours An introduction to machining technology. Students are introduced to blueprint reading, precision measurement, the theory and operation of machine tools, layout techniques and the use of layout tools, the characteristics of common industrial metals used in machining processes, machine maintenance, and nontraditional machining processes. Lab work required. Lab Fee. Prerequisite: TE 100 taken concurrently.
