An exploration of the growth, expansion, and influence of Christianity in the United States from the colonial period to the present. The doctrinal, institutional, ethical, and devotional expressions of American Christianity will be addressed. The interaction between Christianity and other religious groups in American culture will also be examined. Prerequisites: HI 221 and 222 or RL 361. Credit three hours. (Fee $7)
