Study of the place of language arts in the elementary school curriculum. Focus on content and methodology as it relates to the language arts skills, outlines the interrelationships of language skills, and familiarizes the teacher-in-training with numerous experiences and strategies to guide and enrich the learning of children in an effective language arts program. Twenty (20) hours of observation required. Prerequisites: ED 195, 318 or concurrent enrollment in 318. ED 315 and 320 must be taken concurrently. Credit three hours. (Fee $18)
