This first part of a two-part sequence addresses the history of the British Isles from their earliest settlement to the end of the Tudor period in 1603. Roman Britain, Medieval England and the English Reformation are major topics. In addition to the history of England, events in Scotland, Ireland, and Wales will also be examined. Prerequisite: junior or senior standing or permission of instructor. Credit three hours. (Fee $7)
