An opportunity for advanced students of Spanish to work directly with the Hispanic community in Owensboro through volunteer work with local agencies. The practicum includes volunteer work as arranged, periodic meetings with Spanish faculty, maintaining a journal of volunteer activities in Spanish and a research project and/or final project. Prerequisites: Completion of at least 12 upper-division hours (3000 level or higher) in Spanish, junior or senior standing and permission of the Spanish faculty.
