Plants have played a vital role in the history of humans. This course will study the basic biology of plants along with the many ways that plants and humans have interacted over history. Topics will include basic plant biology, domestication and current use of crop species, plant ecology and the use (past and present) of plants as food, fiber, medicine and psychoactive agents.
