Explores role of arts in urban culture and basic principles of aesthetic creativity and critique with special attention to use of Christian paradigms to interpret and create art. Surveys artistic expression and response within metropolitan context, ranging from downtown cultural centers to diverse ethnic neighborhoods. Attention to content, craft and style of multicultural religious and secular urban artistic expression. Includes fi eld trips to venues throughout City of Boston. Meets every other Saturday. (Core fi ne arts option. Open to main campus students also.) Limited to 30 students. Fee.
