Assessment of impact of globalization on economic, political, social, cultural and natural environments of nations, regions, and the world. Impact and uses of technology and media on cultural production, cultural diversity and "multiculturalism," disparities in power and controlamong nations and peoples. Regional and cultural differences in human responses to globalization. Past topics include: Women and Global Studies, Global Cities, and Western Perceptions of Africa and Africans. Fulfills General Education Global Diversity requirement.
