An advanced course of study, developing the required practical skills necessary for the design and execution of a theatrical production design. To further develop the ability to analyze a script, song, or score and translate the ideas therein into visual images. To allow the student to move a design from concept to completion under the actual "in theatre" conditions, while stillmaintaining a safe, constructive learning environment. To put into actual practice the equipment, methods, procedures, and skills necessary to implement a successful design. May be repeated for credit. Students are expected to provide appropriate materials as needed. Prerequisites: Permission of instructor and first-level design class depending on topic.
