Emphasizes topics such as prokaryotic and eukaryotic cell structure and function, respiration and fermentation, photosynthesis, mitosis and meiosis, patterns of inheritance, DNA synthesis and repair, transpiration and translation, and control of prokaryotic and eukaryotic gene expression. Prerequisites: Math SAT 500 (Math ACT 19) AND high school Algebra II C- AND high school Biology C- OR MA111 College Algebra C- AND BI101 Principles of Biology C- OR permission of Biology Department chair. Co-requisite: BI103L.
