Prerequisite/Corequisite: ENGL 100 and status or consent of instructor. Examines how war and struggles for democracy shape the social consciousness and political activism of Latinas. Uses literature, film, history, and political theory to examine the role of violence in women's lives, community organizing, and the conceptualization of a pan-Latina feminist movement. Letter grading only (A-F). Same course as CHLS 450A.
