Study of a particular aspect of Spanish literature, language or culture. Topics will be announced in Schedule of Classes. May be repeated to a maximum of 9 units with different topics. Letter grade only (A-F). Undergraduates register in 493; graduates register for 593. (Seminar). A. Women and War: Voices of Resistance Interdisciplinary course on autobiographical testimonies of women who experienced war and its aftermath. Includes literary, historical, sociological and psychoanalytical considerations of the impact of war on women during World War I and II, the Spanish Civil War, and confrontations in Latin America. (Lecture)
