An interdisciplinary overview of history, society, and culture in Latin America - Mexico, Central American, the Caribbean, and South America. Examines the political, economic, social, and cultural conditions for conflict, change, and continuity over the last five hundred years. Same course as HIST 161 and LAS 161. Letter grade only (A-F).
