Prerequisite: JOUR 311 with a grade of "C" or better. Students work in an editor-reporter relationship with instructor in researching and writing in-depth pieces on such complex issues as mass transit, air pollution, city government, poverty, crime, housing and drug abuse. Computer-assisted research and investigative and interviewing techniques stressed. Letter-grade only (A-F). Lecture 2 hours, Laboratory 2 hours.
