Interdisciplinary overview of history, society, and culture in Latin America - Mexico, Central American, the Caribbean, and South America. Examines political, economic, social, and cultural conditions for conflict, change, and continuity over last five hundred years. Letter grade only (A-F). Same course as SOC 161 and LAS 161.
