Prerequisite: FREN 201A or four years of high school French or equivalent, and completion of the 13-unit Foundation requirement (or entering competency equivalent to FREN 201A and completion or concurrent enrollment in at lest one Foundation course). Continued work in speaking, pronunciation, comprehension and writing, with some reading of modern writers. For non-native speakers only, and is not open to heritage speakers or native speakers of French. Check for the code 138 (for non-native speakers) and 139 (for heritage speakers) in the Schedule of Classes. (lecture 4 hrs.) (CAN FREN 10)
