Constraints imposed by factors such as performance, economics, reliability, safety, aesthetics, packaging, codes, standards and practices. Ethics and social and environmental impact. Case studies. Individual and group projects. Oral presentation required. (Lecture-problems 1 hour, laboratory 3 hours) Letter grade only (A-F).
