Prerequisites: CHEM 251, CHEM 371B or 377B, all with a grade of "C" or better, or consent of instructor. Theory and application of instrumental methods to chemical problems. Includes measurement basics, atomic and molecular spectroscopy, electroanalytical chemistry, separation methods, surface analysis, and statistical evaluation of analytical data. Letter grade only (A-F). Course fee may be required. (Lecture 2 hrs., laboratory 6 hrs.)
