Prerequisite: CHEM 111A with a grade of "C" or better. Second semester of a two-semester sequence (CHEM 111A and 111B). Continuation of chemical principles, applications of bonding theories of inorganic molecules, trends and reactivities of elements and their compounds, chemical equilibrium, kinetics and qualitative inorganic analysis. Solving aqueous equilibrium problems are emphasized. (Lecture 3 hrs., lab and problem solving sessions 6 hrs.) Course fee may be required. (CAN CHEM 4)
