Prerequisite: CHEM 331, 371B, both with a grade of "C" or better.Quantitative study of chemical bonding in inorganic molecules emphasizing on molecular orbital theory. Transition metal chemistry including coordination chemistry, ligand field theory, spectroscopy applications to structural analysis of inorganic molecules, and review of properties and reactivities of elements and their compounds. Letter grade only (A-F). (Lecture 3 hrs.)
