Prerequisites: BIOL 370; CHEM 320A,B or CHEM 322A,B and 323A,B, all with a grade of "C" or better. (Undergraduates enroll in BIOL 433; graduates enroll in BIOL 533.) Current topics and experimental approaches in cell differentiation and development, emphasis on examination of these processes at the molecular level. Topics include gametogenesis, fertilization, differential gene expression, and role of oncogenes in development. Letter grade only (A-F). (Lecture/discussion 3 hrs.)
