Prerequisites: BIOL 340, 370, both with a grade of "C" or better. (Preference given to students in the Bachelor of Science in Biology, Option in Cell and Molecular Biology.) Intensive course of modern laboratory techniques used in both cell and molecular biology. Topics include genomics, subcellular structure and transport, and purification and functional characterization of recombinant proteins. Provides extensive laboratory experience for students. Not open for credit to students with credit in BIOL 340L. Letter grade only (A-F). (Lecture 1 hr., laboratory 6 hrs.)
