Prerequisite: BIOL 355 or MICR 355 with a grade of "C" or better. Provides an understanding of microbes in the environment. Sample and analyze microbes from field trips to different habitats. Analytical techniques learned include enrichment culture methods and modern molecular biology methods to study the diversity and community dynamics of microbes. Letter grade only (A-F). Same course as MICR 355L. Not open for credit to student with credit in MICR 355L. (Laboratory 3 hrs.)
