Prerequisites: BIOL 111, 111L, 212, 212L, 213, 213L; CHEM 111A,B; PHYS 100A,B all with grade of "C" or better; 100 hours of documented exposure to the practice of physical therapy in a variety of settings; and consent of instructor. Mechanisms of action and interaction of physiological body systems with emphasis on nervous and endocrine systems and skeletal and smooth muscle. Pathological and clinical considerations presented. Letter grade only (A-F). (Lecture 3 hrs., laboratory 3 hrs.) Course fee may be required.
