Prerequisites: MICR 211 or BIOL 111, 111L, 212, 212L, 213, 213L all with a grade of "C" or better. Explores relationships of microorganisms to their environment. Emphasis placed on ecological basis for diversity of prokaryotic forms, metabolic functions and community interactions. Letter grade only (A-F). Same course as MICR 355. Not open for credit to student with credit in MICR 355. (Lecture 3 hrs.) Course fee may be required.
