Prerequisites: BIOL 312 or 370 with a grade of "C" or better. A phylogenetic survey of green plant morphological diversity and analysis of the developmental and genetic mechanisms affecting this diversity. Emphasis in the laboratory is on documenting green plant morphological evolution, bioinformatics, and studying the developmental mechanisms driving morphological diversification. Letter grade only (A-F). (Lecture 3 hrs., laboratory 3 hrs.) Course fee may be required.
