The nature of the archaeological record, research design, techniques of archaeological data collection and field research employing data sources and modern techniques. Practical experience in the use of mapping instruments, map interpretation, geophysics, surface survey, sampling designs, remote sensing photogrammetry. Letter grade only (A-F). (Lec 3 hrs, Lab 2 hrs)
