An introduction to the medium of photography in the context of art and applying modern digital techniques. Topics include basic exposure manipulation, composition, relation to common art concepts, and an introduction to Adobe Photoshop. A digital SLR camera and a USB "thumb drive" are required. A fixed focal length lens in the range of35-50mm is highly recommended. Prerequisite: Art 111, Lab fee.
