Major science and social studies topics that help those who will be teachers develop how and what to teach children. The focus upon hands-on, minds-on learning experiences helps children participate responsibly in a democratic society and a global community. National and state standards provide direction for curriculum, resources, teachingmethods and assessment techniques. One full day per week field experience is required each Tuesday. Prerequisite: EDUC/SPEC265. Co-requisite: EDUC 370.
