This course is designed to develop advanced college research and writing skills, as well as an understanding of current social justice issues. Each course will examine one particular pressing community problem as a thematic and practical way to focus the writing and reading assignments; however, as the culminating project of the course, each student will complete a fi nal essay that investigates a wellresearched social justice issue of their own choosing. (Students must have completed the University Writing Requirement prior to taking this course. Grades below C are not considered passing.) Prereq: UWR. (3 Credits)
