Workshop on elements of writing for live performance- story, dialogue, action, characterization, and plot. Monologues written for one actor, two-person scenes, three-person scenes, blackouts, short skits, and comedy scenes. Students will read from their work throughout the semester and supplement their own writing with readings of contemporary authors. Prereq: Eng 303 and consent/submit portfolio to instructor. (3)
