The first of two advanced courses in the study of music theory and harmony. This course will begin where MUSC 103 left off with a continuing exploration of harmony, melody and form, with applications to analysis and writing. The specific topics of study in this course will include modulation, binary and ternary forms and the use of the following chords: diminished triads, diminished seventh chords, diatonic seventh chords and augmented sixth chords. Aural and keyboard skills are an integral part of this course. PRQ: MUSC 103. Scheduled: Spring, odd years. Meets: ANO. Classified: B.
