A comprehensive introduction to accounting concepts in organizations. Both financial and managerial principles are covered. Emphasis is placed on the users of accounting information, the development, presentation, and limitations of accounting, and the use of accounting as a control device will be discussed. The course fulfills the prerequisite requirement of ACCT 223 and 224 for all MBA students that did not take two terms of accounting prior to entering the program. Skills developed: analytical and problem-solving.
