Independent study in biology is for the purpose of providing students who have some collegelevel introduction to a subject area of life science the opportunity to pursue study of that subject in more detail, and/or at a more advanced level of inquiry. It is expected that the inquiry will be supervised (or co-supervised) by a faculty member within the Biology department. Application must be made first to a faculty member within the department with subsequent approval by the chair of the department. Offered as the need arises. Meets: NO.
