Prerequisites: ECO 2210 or ECO 2220. The course is designed to introduce students to economic forecasting employing basic statistics tools and statistical software. Students will be introduced to the statistical software and learn about economic and financial data resources. Students will learn how to manage data for research or forecast purposes and gain experience at making and evaluating economic forecasts. Each student will conduct a project in which real world data of their own choice is used to develop forecasts of some economic variable.
