This seminar provides an in-depth examination of cognitive development from infancy through adolescence. Topics include the development of knowledge about physical objects, memory, language, numerical understanding, and an understanding of the mind. For each topic we discuss the results of various research studies with an emphasis on the methodologies used, various interpretations of the findings, and practical applications of the work. Prerequisite: PS 236 or PS 233; Every Other Year
