This course examines the factors involved in emergency planning for business and government agencies. Topics include risk management assessment, public policy development, the emergency planning process, as well as strategic and operational emergency planning. Students are involved in developing emergency and disaster recovery plans at the local, regional, and national levels and also focus on behavioral aspects of emergency situations. As a final project, students will create an operational emergency plan.
